About

WERA-72 is an organization that meets under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The purpose of WERA-72 is to serve as a forum in which Agribusiness professors can share knowledge. The objective is to encourage an exchange of ideas and coordination of projects in teaching, research, and extension.The focus is on pre-and post-farm matters such as farm supply, first handlers, food processors, food distribution, and groucery stored and restaurants. Meetings consist of reviews and discussions of research, teaching, and extension activities in agribusiness. Emphasis is on sharing ideas and creating linkages for collaborative ideas. Please plan to attend an upcoming meeting.

Objectives

  • Coordinate objectives among university professors doing agribusiness research.
  • Develop electronic communications methods to speed communication among industry, government, and academia.
  • Investigate and offer presentations on research methodologies and techniques and their application to issues related to agribusiness management.
  • In designated and appropriate forums, share research findings related to agribusinesses that will enhance the competitiveness of the U.S. agro-food system.
