Research in Water and Resource Economics


Water resources play an integral role in all economies, including the U.S., Texas and the High Plains Region.  The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Texas Tech University has a long history of research in the economics of water.

The Department has an extensive interdisciplinary research program relating to water and resource economics, including water policy, water use efficiency, irrigation management, water conservation, crop production management, precision agriculture, biotechnology, and range management.
