Research in the Department of
Agricultural and Applied Economics

The Department of Agricultural and Applied
Economics at Texas Tech University conducts a broad range of applied and
disciplinary research. The Department is recognized for it's research
in cotton economics, which dates back to the beginning of the Department
in 1927. The Cotton Economics Research Institute serves to coordinate
and foster economic research activities on all aspects of cotton across
units within Texas Tech University and with research units outside the
University.
The Department also conducts research in
economic issues related to water management, range management, finance,
agribusiness, risk management and livestock.
