Minor in Agribusiness Management
is
offered by the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department for non-departmental
students to provide training in economics and business with an agriculture
perspective. The minor requires 18 hours
of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAEC) courses including:

Fundamentals
of Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAEC 2305)
-
Nine
(9) hours from junior (3000) level AAEC courses
-
Six
(6) hours from senior (4000) level AAEC courses
A grade of C or better must be earned
in each course counted toward the minor.
A student must satisfy all course prerequisites before they will be
allowed to register for a course.
Career opportunities are enhanced
when an Agribusiness Management minor is combined with a degree in
either Animal Science or Plant and Soil Science. The managerial decision making skills taught in
the economics/business courses comprising the Agribusiness Management minor
curriculum compliment the science and agricultural science training provided by
an Animal Science or Plant and Soil Science degree and enhance career options. The combined science and economics training
will broaden career opportunities in agricultural sales, commodity purchasing
and trading, and management of farms, ranches, and agribusiness firms. Career opportunities available to Animal
