
Criteria for admission to an advanced program in Agricultural and Applied Economics are based on:
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score
- Grade Point Average (GPA) for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work for the M.S.
- or the last degree for the Ph.D.
- A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) is also required for students whose native language is not English.
Provisional admission
The student must maintain a grade of B or above for each course in the first 12 hours of graduate work. Exceptions to the above requirements (except TOFEL) may be granted by the Departmental Graduate Faculty, depending on the nature of the applicant's prior degree program.
Applications for admission
Applications for admission to the graduate program must include:
- all prior university transcripts
- official GRE scores
- three letters of recommendation
- and, TOFEL score for students whose native language is not English.
Students without complete transcripts will not be allowed to register for classes beyond the first semester.
